FC 25 Wrap Party

Vancouver, BC. Nov 1, 2024

As we conclude another successful year of producing the FC title, we proudly celebrate our achievements in overcoming challenges and delivering our best work yet with FC 25.

Last year, we missed the FC 24 wrap party becuase it happened during our trip in Taiwan. This year though, we’re thrilled to attend the wrap party at the Vancouver Aquarium, a significant upgrade from the previous year’s venue at The Rec Room.

Entering the venue was quick and seamless. A team of photographers captured our photos as we arrived. And it’s a friendly crowd, well it’s the people we’re working with everyday, so it’s like a family gathering.

After checking in, we handed our coats to the wonderful staff at the coat check station. With drink tickets in hand, we were ready to party. Let’s go!

The first thing we noticed upon entering the plaza was a giant globe, now glowing green to match our game’s theme color. The trailer and cinematic videos played on a large screen that wrapped around the plaza. What a stunning visual display! The FC theme was every where and truly transformed the aquarium’s vibe. I felt pumped and incredibly proud to be part of this team.

Sonia slept the entire afternoon to gather enough energy for the party, so she skipped lunch. So the first thing we did when we arrived was to hunt for food and refreshments.

Historically, the food at EA parties has been subpar at best, and this event was no exception. The food wasn’t outstanding, however, there was plenty of it this time. In the past, the food always run out quickly. This time it kept coming. We enjoyed a variety of finger foods, along with self-serve taco and burger stations. There was even a Mediterranean station with pita bread and a variety of hummus and toppings.

Drinks were limited to two per person, which is typical for corporate parties to prevent anyone from getting drunk and misbehaving. Despite the limited selection, the drinks were decent. We tried the house special cocktails, mojitos, and screwdrivers. Overall, the dirnks were limited but enjoyable.

We had a fantastic time hanging out with my work family and their significant others. Although we didn’t stay for too long, as Sonia’s low energy levels, I have to commend the team for organizing such an amazing event. We decided to call it a night early and head to our downtown hotel. We’re looking forward to relazing there for the rest of the evening and enjoying the rainy Vancouver night from our cozy room.

Thanks Kim for taking a photo of us!
